On May 27, 2025, the State Water Resources Control Board affirmed its intent to adopt a maximum contaminant level for perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS) in a written request asking the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) (“Request”) to develop a public health goal (PHG) for the contaminant.
