Indira McDonald
Indira McDonald has over 14 years of experience in state government. Prior to joining KP, Indira worked for the chief fiscal officer of California, former State Controller Betty Yee. As Deputy Controller of Legislative Affairs, she served as primary liaison with the California Legislature, the Governor’s Office, and state agencies to further the operations of the State Controller’s office and policy and budget objectives. Before that, she served as Deputy Commissioner of Legislation for the Department of Business Oversight (now operating as the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation) and, as a senior aide to members of the California Legislature. She has gained valuable experience working for the State of California in areas including accountability and disbursement of the state’s financial resources, as well as regulation and oversight of a variety of financial service businesses, products, and professionals.
