Desiree Broome

Desiree joined KP in 2026, bringing a strong background in communications and a strong understanding of policy and legislative issues. With more than five years of working for a Member of Congress, including engagement on a Gubernatorial campaign, Desiree is skilled in media relations and press engagements, stakeholder engagement, and translating complex legislative and regulatory developments into compelling public communications for a variety of audiences.


 Experience:

  • Managed media relations and press engagements across California including press conferences, town halls, and briefings, working directly with press and stakeholders to keep constituents informed and engaged on policy priorities

  • Developed and implemented comprehensive communications campaign, including message and material development, media strategies, stakeholder communications that shaped public narrative across regional and political landscape

  • Produced constituent-facing communications to educate across the district through consistent and accurate messaging

  • Managed statewide scheduling for a gubernatorial campaign, coordinating press engagements, fundraising events, and travel logistics
